My daughter describes me as someone who believes I was personally commissioned by the Lord, Himself, to make people laugh. I believe laughter is not only therapeutic but if there were more laughter in the world there would be a lot less hatred. A staunch Catholic and a writer, my first book "For a Better America:Observations, Insights and a Plan for Action by a 95 Year Old American" will be released in January 2010. It is a call to action for Americans to take a more active role in the affairs of their government. I am a proud father of five (including identical twin daughters), I have 5 granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons. The consummate Philly sports fan I am often overheard hollering "Good, gosh damn-it. There goes the season!" at the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Villanova games (a proud graduate 1935-cum laude). Notre Dame games make the cut too and on the nights none of my favorite teams play I enjoy watching NCIS and American Idol (which is not an authentic contest). Finally, I am a retired US Chief Probation Officer.
